The oak inn
This is an amazing little inn is like home. Its more of a bed and breakfast. One of the first twenty family lines run it. Well in truth is was one of the first twenty families many years ago. The owner is a sweet young man. His name is Miles. He is a tall blonde built like and ox. He has a deep British accent that allures many of the family visitors to ogle him as he works. His sister or at least that is what he calls her is a stunning red head with the perfect lips. Bonnie tends to the inn and visitors the one thing most of them notice about her is that her irish accent is something she tries to hide but it still slips through.

Caliendos

Owner: Sevvendren Drake (Sev)

History: A trifle deceiving on the outside, Caliendos interior has been modified and updated the larger the population of Dark Mountain has become. Sev has been a part of Dark Mountain since his early twenties, and is now in his mid-fifties. He's human, one of the few around, but he shouldn't be counted for weak.

Caliendos is his life's work, and he won't be bullied or served up for dinner any time soon.

In regards to the restaraunt, it's the mellow, shady type with dark lighting and a constant soundtrack of low, moody music. It sits in the center of town and is a favored food joint for Dark Mountain citizens.

It caters to the needs of its special array of customers, and food that suits the taste of a different variety of races can be found here. It's one of the few restaraunts around that has a ready, though sometimes slim, supply of human blood from willing donors, though it's expensive and oftent given only to a select few customers that Sev favors.

History: The school in Dark Mountain encompasses all the grades from Kindergarten to twelfth, though its building is rather small and rundown. However, the Dark Mountain citizens make due with the size, as the school nearly disappeared altogether after the disaster.

Most immortals didn't have a significant use for schooling, as they'd been alive long enough to know more than any school could teach. However, in respect for the limited number of humans that remained, Dark Mountain has preserved the shabby school building so that the humans and any other races that please may climb the ladder of higher education.

Teachers:



Ms. Eva Gruwell: Eva is the twelfth grade Science and Math teacher. She is generally well-liked by her students, because she is outwardly kind and has a pleasing manner. However, appearances are a trifle deceiving in her case, because she is actually a demon. Though it should be noted that, unlike her fellow species, Eva rarely works up enough of her temper to revert to her demon form.



Mr David Logsdon: David is a thirty-year-old English teacher. He appears to be human, though he is semi-secretly a shifter. He does not like to talk about this, however, as, embarrassingly enough, his second form is that of a field mouse. He was always thought to be one of the genetic freaks of his kind, and has been humiliated his entire life by his inadequacy. For that reason, he avoids shifting and has devoted his life to accelerating literacy.

History: Where it all started. Now only a ruined shell of what it once was, DML is a reminder of the monster it unleashd on society. Some believe its existance while others think it a fable, but regardless of the opinions of the citizens of Dark Mountain, thanks to the scientists in DML, there's now a man that roams the land capable of bringing an end to the world as they know it.

Owner: Brock Wilkins is the infamous bad boy of Dark Mountain. It's not that being bad is a rare occurence in Dark Mountain, but it's the fact that Brock is an angel that makes him appealing to the public eye. Unlike his nature would suggest, Brock is usually on the shadier side of everything and openly enjoys open relations with women and a surpluss of alcohol.

History: The Dark Lore was constructed by Brock, at least in theory. With the help of others, he dug out a night club from face of a cliff, and stuck his little slice of darkened heaven into the rock bed.

The Dark Lore is one of Dark Mountain's rare tourist attractions as well as a favored nocturnal hideout of many of its regular denizens. The party resides in The Dark Lore, and lasts from early night to late morning. And even longer if its guests are up to par.

Owners: (From Left to Right) Chase, Lindsey, and Kae Gandett built and maintain Pure Mist. They claim to be sisters, though Chase is a demon, Lindsey is a half-blood angel, and Kae is part Fae. Somehow, their bizarre friendship works.

History: Pure Mist was constructed when it was noted that Dark Mountain was in dire need of some type of relaxation. It has several hot springs as well as a manmade miniature waterfall, and, on the weekends, Kae occasionally offers moderately priced massages.

The rules and restrictions are lenient, and the atmosphere altogether is pretty lax and calm. It remains open to the public at all hours of the day and night, and midnight hours are recommended for those seeking more privacy.

The Red Velvet Room- The local Haunt

History: Long ago before the vampires were well known they were hiding in plan sight. This local place has been around as long as the town. Yes it has been remodeled and up graded but the place still holds its spooky feel. It is a great place to go and relax in a now bar/ club atmosphere.. Its more like a club that anyone can get into just don't make a fuss about the cobwebs they are meant to be there.

The customers are ranged, and anything from card games to intimate evenings can be found taking place here.


Owner: Maura Branston is the owner as well as the hostess of the Red Velvet Room. She can be found keeping her eye out on her property while also entertaining the people that come in solo. She can be sweet and coy, but she's also rather dangerous. A dark faerie with rather wicked tricks up her sleeve, Maura isn't one to mess with.
